Single Beam Survey
CPE commonly performs Single Beam sounder surveys in support of beach monitoring projects and other hydrographic surveys where 100% coverage is no necessary and single line data collection is prudent. CPE hydrographic beach profile surveys are typically conducted with a single beam sounder operating at 200khz. High frequency operations will reflect of the first hard surface making this method ideal for measuring sand movement in the nearshore. CPE also has dual frequency sounders that offer both high and low frequency soundings recorded simultaneously. The low frequency is able to penetrate soft sediments and is often used to measure depth of accumulated muds or other soft unconsolidated sediments.
