Regional Sediment Management
CPE assists in the development of the Reconnaissance Offshore Sand Search database (ROSS) for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Beaches and Coastal Systems (FDEP). The database, which is available on the internet via ESRI’s ArcIMS software, is designed to house in-state geotechnical and geophysical data. Data types currently being incorporated into the database include vibracore and jet probe logs, granularmetric reports and curves, seismic and side-scan sonar images, hardbottom locations, seagrass coverage’s, archaeological data, bathymetric/hydrographic data, borrow sites, critical erosion sites, paleo-features and geological/geomorphologic features.
