Coastal Zone Database Management
CPE assists clients in developing a coastal zone database design and structure that accommodates each client’s unique coastal challenges. The purpose of the CZM database is to support managers and decision makers in the protection of coastal and marine resources through planning, public involvement, education and sound resource management within a GIS platform. Because of the wide range of data types and varying coastal issues including shoreline erosion, natural resource protection, coastal development, water quality, public access and coastal hazards such as hurricanes and flooding it is paramount that the database is modeled in a comprehensive Enterprise geodatabase which allows analysis, querying and data management in a more functional and efficient platform.
