CPE designed and permitted one of the largest beach
erosion control projects ever built under a single contract. The constructed
project covered 17.5 miles of shoreline with 8.3 million cubic yards
of sand. Beach construction was completed in April of 1999, and over
51 drainage outfalls were modified by February 2000. The nourished
beach has weathered a major storm and has been a key contributor to
the economy of Panama City Beaches.
