Applicants are being considered for two locations, and must have the technical background and/or experience required to accomplish various coastal engineering tasks. The positions are broad-based engineering position with a concentration in beach nourishment; coastal protections and structures; inlet and navigation studies involving client contact, feasibility analyses, engineering designs, limited computer modeling, report preparation, permitting and construction engineering services, at a minimum.
We are seeking a Coastal/Ocean Engineer for the following locations:
Wilmington, NC: Experienced coastal engineer with ability to acquire NC license in 2-years and potential for advancement to chief engineer in our North Carolina Office.
Boca Raton (Company Headquarters), Fl: Coastal Engineer II/III
The following minimum qualifications are required:
a. Master's degree in coastal engineering or similar field. 3-5 years experience may substitute.
b. FE (EIT)certification.
c. Demonstrated ability to fluently communicate in spoken and written English.
d. Must possess a clean driving record.
e. Have a passion for working in a consulting firm environment on coastal projects.
f. Be able to legally work in the United States without support for an indefinite period of time.
g. Willingness to occasionally travel and work at beachfront locations with minimal supervision for short periods of time.
h. Have the ability to handle multiple assignments efficiently and effectively; and prepare designs and reports with limited supervision.
i. Be able to work independently and with our multidisciplinary team of professionals and staff.
