About Us

Coastal Planning & Engineering, Inc., (CPE) was founded in 1984. We employ more than 75 professionals including coastal engineers, biologists, geologists, modelers, oceanographers, surveyors and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) specialists. Utilizing complementary disciplines, we provide integrated analyses of coastal processes and environmental considerations to develop projects that work with nature and meet our clients' objectives.

The heart of our firm is our people, the CPE family of employees, and our commitment to quality. In addition to advancing the formal education of our staff, we share knowledge and findings with the broader coastal communities through technical papers that are published in professional journals and conference proceedings. We actively participate in the expansion of knowledge related to our coastal environment and are leaders in the application of coastal science to benefit our clients. Our most important asset is our reputation for technical excellence.
